"DORWORTH NEEDS TO COME CLEAN OR RESIGN"
West Palm Beach, Fl. - Everett Wilkinson, Chair of South Florida Tea Party & State Coordinator for Florida Tea Party Patriots, said "Florida Rep. Chris Dorworth leaves the good citizens of Florida’s District 34 and myself with many unanswered questions regarding his financial affairs and business dealings. His financial reports lead the public to believe that there is a conflict of interest between his role as a Florida Legislator and his business interests. This comes on the heels of the recent scandal committed by the former chair of the Republican Party of Florida. The best way to fight corporate greed is to bring it out to the open. The tea party is independent and does not have to 'turn a blind eye' or protect any member. Our standing operating procedure is to expose and go after any form of scandal regarding ethics. The tea party is prepared to vehemently continue its investigation of Mr. Dorworth. He is an aspiring member of leadership in both the Florida Legislature and Republican Party, and therefore must be as 'Caesar’s wife.' On behalf of the tea parties across Florida, I am requesting from Mr. Dorworth that he either immediately resign or publically answer the questions regarding his sudden wealth increase of over $700,000 and how his business interests intermingle with his role as a public official. Dorworth needs to come clean or resign."
Everett Wilkinson is the Chairman of the South Florida Tea Party & State Coordinator for Florida Tea Party. His parents named him after legendary Republican US Senator Everett Dirksen who was the Congressman for Peoria, Illinois where Wilkinson's mother grew up. The South Florida Tea Party is the largest most active Tea Party in Florida with over 37,000 active members. Florida Tea Party Patriots has over 150 tea party groups.
